BigCityPix Did It: Production & Postproduction of Eight Web Videos for Gossip Girl
Reitz Lange called us in to put together this union project shooting on the stages of Silvercup Studios in Long Island City, NYC. This eight-part series was sponsored by Victoria’s Secret and is geared toward viewers interested in out-fitting themselves with Gossip Girl flair and style. To do so, we were tasked with interviewing the man behind the style, Costume Designer Eric Daman, in the show’s fitting room.
How BigCityPix Did It
PRODUCTION: Company Owner & Founder George Spyros Executive Produced and was the DGA member Director for the shoots. We dropped DV to tape on the Panasonic DVX-200 and shot 60 frames-per-second slow-motion to P2 card on the Panasonic HVX 200.
POST PRODUCTION:
Editor Tim Goodman put the moves on in Final Cut Pro while tossing in a little After Effects work here and there. A thorough color-correct was done leveraging BCP’s special cocktail of image filters and settings.
Entire show episodes were delivered to our studio via FTP and completed segments were encoded to Flash video using Flix On 2 software and sent to Reitz Lange for final delivery to Warner Brothers.
