Knut was born in Münster, Germany in 1971. He soon realized his way heading towards movies and started shooting and editing Super 8 film at early age. After graduating from high school (Abitur) in 1992 he directly obtained practical training at a film company and a rental house. From there on he started working as second AC and focus puller for about ten years. In 2003 he began shooting as a Director of Photographer on student short films and from 2005 on he has shot television commercials as well as corporate and station IDs. Knut currently lives in Frankfurt, Germany.
