International Film Circuit is handling the American release of Penelope Cruz’s Italian film Don’t Move (for her roll in the film, Cruz was honored with a European Film Award – Audience Award for Best Actress as well as a David di Donatello award, the Italian equivalent of the Oscar). So someone has to put together those movie clips that show up on Jay Leno’s motorized television behind his broadcaster’s desk — in this case, it was Big City. We took the Digi Beta masters of the film, ingested them through the Igniter, did an uncompressed edit and shipped off the tapes to Burbank. For fun and giggles, we hooked up the cable box to the same edit system and captured the Tonight Show broadcast so that we’d be able to bring it to YOU in the video player above : )
