Raphael Laski attended ESRA (Ecole Ssuperieur De ReaIsation Audiovisuel) in Paris France, where he studied sound for cinema, mixing and recording techniques. After moving to New York City he attended the Institute of Audio Research and studio recording and mixing techniques.
Raphael interned and assisted in various studios including Smythe & Co., Unique, and Jarvis where he worked with artists such as Jesse Harris, Angelique Kidjo, Mantarraay, Shivaree and Steve Berlin from Los Lobos. In 2000, Raphael launched Sonokine LLC a sound production company and studio based in Brooklyn specializing music, sound design, filma & tv postproduction and production sound. He continues to have a diverse range of clients including international documentaries and reality series for television and feature and short films. His credits include mix and sound design for Darkon, winner of best documentary at SXSW 2006 and location sound for Day Night Day Night the Prix Regard Jeunesse winner at Cannes 2006.
