Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple Inc.'s lead industrial designer and Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).

Queen: I dub thee Sir Jonathan Ive. Now if you would please be so good as to demonstrate how we might create a new folder on our royal iPad.

Seriously, the attention from royals accustomed to the likes of crowns and “family jewels” is perfectly fitting: Ive integrated the exposure to his father’s silversmithing into his designs (original iPod’s silver back, iPhone 4, as well as white headphones) so as to be the only designer (still with few exceptions such as Yves Behar’s Aliph Jawbone) to deeply understand and execute on the notion that these relatively expensive gadgets were essentially JEWELRY.
