Seriously, the attention from royals accustomed to the likes of crowns and “family jewels” is perfectly fitting: Ive integrated the exposure to his father’s silversmithing into his designs (original iPod’s silver back, iPhone 4, as well as white headphones) so as to be the only designer (still with few exceptions such as Yves Behar’s Aliph Jawbone) to deeply understand and execute on the notion that these relatively expensive gadgets were essentially JEWELRY.

In an ongoing series of photographic firsts for Apple’s iPhone 4 smartphone, wedding of videographer Rainer Flor and wedding photographer Brian Adams teamed up to shoot the entire wedding in November using only the device for both photo and video.

The creators explained the process on their site, iPhoneShooters:

Adams used two iPhone 4s to shoot pictures. Flor’s associate videographer also used an iPhone 4. Housings were used for the phones that allowed them to change lenses, as well as provided handles and mounts for a light, microphone and tripod. An assistant helped with lighting.

In a press release, Adams explained some of the advantages of using the iPhone 4 gear:

The phones are so small, it made it easy for us to be unobtrusive…. People were very comfortable around the small cameras. We were not an intrusion into their wedding.

According to Flor, he saw little difference between the quality of photos produced by a digital SLR and the iPhone 4.

A new iPhone app developed by the digital team at mcgarrybowen is now available on the Apple iTunes App Store. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Park and then some. All proceeds from the application will go directly to the Central Park Conservancy to help benefit the park.

The folks at crackberry dot com have conducted a side-by-side comparison to between the iPhone 4, BlackBerry Torch 9800 and the Samsung Captivate to see which mobile device would load a web page quickest. So which mobile phone’s web browser crossed the finish line first? Watch video of the speed trial to find out. Ok, one hint: listen for the tester’s quite audible sigh of disappointment as he expels the word “crud.”

Peter Belanger shoots one iPhone 4 with another.

The folks over at Macwrold used the built-in camera of the iPhone 4 to shoot the cover photograph for this month’s issue. Additionally, two photo apps were used to process the image: the $3 PhotoForge to remove a slight green cast from the image, and the $1 Resize-Photo to increase the photo from 216 dpi to 290 dpi in order to meet our printing requirements. WATCH the video above to see timelapse of a similar photo shoot for a MacWorld cover. We find it amusing, with the front-facing camera and all, that the iPhone 4 needs to use the back camera to take its self-portrait.
