The Joker Bug 800 represents a natural step for K5600, an extension of its line of HMI daylight fixtures.
The popular 1×1 Spot fixtures, focused the 5600ªK beam to 30 degrees. Now the 1×1 Super-Spot further focuses the output to a 15-degree beam, which concentrates the light in a smaller area, and provides a longer throw of the light. Like all Litepanels fixtures, the 1×1 Super-Spot remains cool to the touch and uses a small fraction of the power used by traditional lighting fixtures.

At the 66th Annual Academy Awards (1993), a Technical Achievement Award (A Scientific & Technical Award) was bestowed upon Gary Nuzzi, David Johnsrud and William Blethen for the design and development of the Unilux H3000 Strobe Lighting System.
What is the Unilux Strobe Lighting System?
Unilux is a company that has been around for over 40 years providing its strobe lighting solution for the film, and now HD, commercial business. Unilux lighting systems make it possible to shoot subjects in motion with incredible clarity. Each frame is a clear, sharp photograph. Unilux lights are effective for shooting objects that pour, spritz, pop or splash. The lights flash for fractions of seconds, providing a cool atmosphere for shooting icy or perishable objects. Unilux lights can synchronize with cameras like Arri, Panavision, Aaton, Photosonics 4ER and Mitchell and the Phantom HD digital camera. The Unilux Strobe Lighting System won an Academy Award for technical achievement in 1993.

The Key Grip is the head of the grip department and chief rigging technician on the set. On smaller productions, there may just be a single grip or team of grips. For small digital productions, the crew position of “Swing” is somewhere in between a Grip and a Gaffer and takes on the responsibilities of both positions. And super-small ENG or EFP shoots may have only a Utility which acts as an all-around skilled set of hands to handle lighting, grip, sound and camera assist tasks.
